INTRODUCTION

I am honored to be asked to tend this introduction to THE FORCE IS WITH YOU. For Helmut Licht has grasped a great Truth. And he has explained it in concise, straightforward language. W. B. White, former editor of The New Yorker magazine, used to counsel writers, "omit unnecessary words!". Helmut Licht certainly omits all extraneous words; he packages his thoughts in spartan dress so that we may see them the more clearly.  Thus his ideas are conveyed to us dramatically and forcefully. And such vitally important ideas! For Mr. Licht brings to life the words of the poet Alexander Selkirk: "I am the Captain of my Soul, and the Master of my Fate." He explains how we can harness the power of creative thought to enable us to lead happier, more productive, more successful and more rewarding lives.

What I particularly like about THE FORCE IS WITH YOU is that Mr. Licht provides down-to-earth examples to illustrate his points; they are examples which occur in everyday life and which apply to all of us. He proves the truth of Shakespeare's line, "Naught is good nor bad, but thinking makes it so." I can vouch for the accuracy of the principles that Mr. Licht describes. During four decades as a successful business experience I have seen them demonstrated over and over again. They can help anyone get more out of life and enjoy greater happiness and more satisfactory relationships.

It is a pleasure to wholeheartedly recommend THE FORCE IS WITH YOU.
